A Note on Magnesium Stearate & Microcrystalline Cellulose
We understand that ingredient transparency matters — and at NMN Bio, we’re extremely selective about what goes into our supplements. That’s why we avoid unnecessary or potentially harmful additives like silicon dioxide.
However, you may notice magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose listed in some of our products. Rest assured — both are used in very small amounts and are considered safe, widely accepted excipients in supplements and pharmaceuticals.
Magnesium stearate is approved by the FDA and, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, is considered safe for consumption at levels up to 2,500 mg per kg of body weight per day. For context, each NMN Bio capsule contains only a few milligrams — a tiny fraction of that limit. Learn more here.
Microcrystalline cellulose is a natural, inert flowing agent that helps the powder fill the capsule evenly. It’s neutral, non-toxic, and considered safe for human and animal use with no need for a maximum limit in diets. Read more in this study.
We only use these ingredients in minimal quantities to ensure consistency, safety, and ease of manufacturing — nothing more.
If you have any further questions, we’re always happy to clarify.
